About

Meeting you where you're at

Empowered Minds Behavioral Health was born of a need for specialized mental health care for pregnancy and postpartum, often-overlooked critical phases in life. Currently offering Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP), Empowered Minds seeks to provide that extra support in a community that uplifts and unites. WHAT IS IOP? IOP, or an intensive outpatient program, is designed to be a step up in intensity from traditional outpatient mental health treatment. Generally, clients attend groups facilitated by a licensed therapist for three hours at a time for at least three days per week for a period of 6-12 weeks depending on individual needs. Empowered Minds' IOP meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday evenings. Consider IOP a retreat for your mental health that helps you to refocus, recalibrate, and recharge, in a format that still allows you to remain connected to your daily life. EM'S INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM Our program is specially-designed for those experiencing mental health issues during pregnancy, immediately following giving birth, to three years postpartum. The goal of our treatment is to unite birthing individuals in their shared experiences while providing psychoeducation, coping skills, and paths to self-discovery. Individual therapy is provided weekly to reinforce the healing that starts in group, and family therapy ensures progress is supported at home. We use a diverse range of evidence-based practices, allowing you to identify what is truly helpful. These modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, along with mindfulness-based interventions, art, and music.
